Hey all.

Recently I've been working on a short story based on an original characters investigations into the cannibal murders that were said to plague Raccoon City prior to the start of the series.

I suppose what I'm asking is if anyone here knows much about these, as I'd like to keep it relatively accurate. My only reference is the novelizations by S.D.Perry, but as we know many liberties were taken with these. Are there any official dates?

Is this disused anywhere in the archives, some report I missed, or is it all kept rather vague?

If this comes together well, I was thinking about using it as a prequel/reference point for a RP or something, so any help is greatly appreciated.

As far as the cannibal murders, I don't really recall much of anything that was official with the exception of the mutilated hiker found in or around the Marble River, but I don't think any specific details about it were mentioned.

I've heard some referance to that, but wasn't it said to be an "animal attack"?

So, in that case most likely a Cerberus? Or am I wrong on this.

That helps for sure. But I was more looking for details on the Zombie attacks.

I guess your best bet would be to use the novels but you could always google it

I already did both, and as far as I know no exact first dates were given.
