Conflict zone in Easter Europe could possibly be the European warzone mentioned in Damnation trailer. Furthermore, as Chris has also experienced something terrible at the same time could it be that he appears in the movie?

This is all just speculation, sure, but it seems to fit.

I wish it would be Chris, Billy or Carlos.
