| Hello everyone I'm 19 years old, American, and a eurosceptic conservative. I've been lurking here since last year and finally decided to join. My first experience with RE was watching my uncle play Resident Evil 1 and Dino Crisis for PS1, but I didn't actually get into the series until my early teens, when I played REmake for GameCube. I own all of the main games now except RE5, I own a few of the spin-off games, but I've never had the privilege of playing either Outbreak game unfortunately. I'm ashamed to say the only games I've beaten are RE1 classic, RE2, and Dino Crisis 1. My favorite RE game is RE2, though right now I'm playing CODE: Veronica which is really good. I'm not really a fan of the direction the series took with RE4, RE5, and Dino Crisis 2. Well I guess that's enough about me, I guess I'll see everyone around the board.

I will constantly mourn the lack of democratic legitimization within the current EU's set-up, but I always support the principle behind it.

Why, don't I feel accepted now.

Seems appropriate, google says that's the meaning anyways. Funny, though, that a conservative is appearing the second I turn on CNN to watch the New Hampshire primary... |

That's precisely my primary problem with it as well, the lower house (European Parliament) is the only democratically elected body in the entire organization. Though I also find the whole "globalism" idea very dangerous, especially since Obama and others like him want to take America down a similar path.

But even then Ron Paul's foreign policy is whacky and will destroy America. If anyone but Ron Paul is the GOP nominee, I'm just going to vote for Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party). Anyone but Obama or Rick Perry really lol. Which candidate would you support if you were American?

That's pretty much what my username is anyway. I was going for "American," but "미국" means "United States of America," "America," and "Yankeeland." |

Just to make that pre-emptively clear before a political debate can unfold and I make an impression of chickening out: for the sake of keeping this forum comprehensively enjoyable, I'm not inclined to discuss politics in depth. But to answer your question: obviously the Democratic party, notwithstanding often-heard Republican rhetoric, is capitalist, not socialist. Some members are the social conscience of that party, but the Democrats are basically the non-Christianist other pro-business party. As such, voting for any candidate of the two parties would leave me dissatisfied, but I'd vote to enable the lesser evil, being Obama. I irrationally sympathize with Hillary Clinton, but in general I'm incompatible with US politics, period.
It's pointless for me to stay up, though. I can predict that the moment the polls close, they will make a projection based on exit polls that Romney won, and I will have wasted an hour of sleep. Yay.

Phew. And I feared you've suddenly withdrawn all support from gay socialism. |

The Democrats are in bed with the big corporations every bit as much as the Republicans are. I agree it's pathetic that the GOP has effectively become the Christian Party. The Democrats claim to support democratic socialism and the Republicans claim to support small government, but really there is no real difference between either of them. They're both just the status quo trying to keep the two-party system in power.

Welcome to the Forums. |
Thanks.
You all see what happened last night? A clear demonstration that freedom is popular. Ron Paul dominates and comes in close second place with just about 30% of the vote, with Romney just a few % ahead and all of the other candidates in the single digits and teens. The status quo is shaking in their boots, the main stream media kept saying that "Ron Paul is unelectable and will get less than 1% of the vote," and then he comes up and dominates everyone, including the mainstream far-left media. South Carolina is next for the REVolution. |
