| Ha ha. When I think of an idea, i just can't stretch it far enough. It upsets me. I just need a REALLY idea and then maybe I'll finally be able to run with it. I have this huge binder of stories that I've started, but never quite finished or even gotten that far on. My imagination might just need an upgrade... |

| I will give you the first paragraph:
It was a sticky afternoon in Las Vegas. More sticky than usual, especially since there was this totally badass guy leaning up against a wall near me! I'm a girl, and I kind of liked him, because he was sooooo badass. And then zombies attacked! I pulled out my M1911 and then remembered that I am a girl and have no idea how to use weapons properly. So I also pulled out my weapon manual to do some light reading, for safety's sake. Then the badass guy did the most amazing thing!

| My best advice to you is make it different. Too many books and movies nowadays are all the same. It's either about some super-powered teenager or some gun-toting badass who overcomes all odds. Usually has something to do with a prophecy, an evil SOB that wants to take over/destroy the world/galaxy/universe, whatever. It's a formula that's been done over and over again. That's why I like the Resident Evil plotline (except 4 and 5 really). Because at the end of the story, the only thing the main character did was survive. They didn't really save humanity or the world and there's also a sense of foreboding at the end like something else is going to go wrong because you know that there are a lot of unanswered questions and that there's still something out there just waiting to resurface. Enough about my ramblings though. Just try to make it original. That's what people are known for. Look at Stephani Meyer, Lady Gaga and Marilyn Manson! |
