RE2 Help Please

Ok...I've already googled this and can't find anything. I received my copy RE2 in the mail that I bought on ebay.

Both discs run fine on my PS2. Doesn't seem to work with my dualshock controllers.

I can see on google there is a dualshock version of the game.

Do I need an original PS1 controller without dualshock to play this?

Can't you just turn the dualshock thingy off by pressing the middle button?

I tried that yesterday and just tried again then.

No luck. Guess I'll have to hunt down an original PS1 controller.

I got it working. It's weird.

Seems to work sometimes and then other time I have to reset a few times before it works.

My PS1 never did that before, that's strange dude. Surprised
