So I have a feeling I'll be on a lot more now.
My stepmom took her kids and left my dad Friday.
It pains me cuz I'm pretty sure my dad was about to cry when he called this morning to tell me that she probably wouldn't be back.
I don't really know what to do.
Now that she's gone, it's just me and him.
He works 12 hour shifts and about the only time I'm going to really see him is on the weekends when he's off and at dinner time.
That means it's up to me to make sure everything around the house is done.
I already did a lot of cleaning but it was easy for me. Like I did dishes and laundry and took care of my cat. Now I'm adding doing his laundry. Cooking. Sweeping. Mopping. Bathroom cleaning. Making sure everything is good for inspections so we don't get evicted. I'm gonna have to get a job really soon to help with bills. A whole new pile of responsibilities has fallen on my shoulders.
Less than a week before I turn 17, I guess it's time for it.

You're going to be on more with all of that going on? I hope everything gets better.

Dad just came by and was talking to me. He was trying to figure out what to do with me. Luckily Kristen, one of the dispatchers that he works with, reminded him that I'm almost 17. We had to assure him that I can take care of myself. And even if I don't want to stay at the house alone, I have a car and can just drive to Kristen's.

I don't have a clue when he'll be home. He has to work some over-shifts and won't be back for a few days...
