| What do you think is the best console to play RE games?
I'm between PS2 and Wii.
I have both consoles with every game realeased for PSone, PS2, Gamecube and Wii. I'm thinking the Wii is probably the best console for playing RE games:
-RE0 (the Wii version is better, it runs smoothly but I play it best with the gamecube controller, the wii classic controller's analog stick sucks)
-REmake(just like RE0)
-RE2 (port from the PSone version, but with different title screen sound and improved graphics)
-RE3(same as RE2)
-RECVX (It looks better than the PS2 version)
-RE4 (The control of the wiimote is great in this game)
-REUC
-REDS
The Ps2 lacks a lot of the canon games realeased for Gamecube/Wii, most of its RE library are spin-offs that are really worth it, but not compared to the ones of the main storyline.

Actually, there is an RE games for the N64, DS, and 3DS. The 3DS will have two next year. |

| Yeah, but the fact that they have a few games on it doesn't make it one of the best consoles for RE. Just the Wii or Gamecube are great RE consoles. |

| But still, I don't think Deadly Silence or a RE2 port or Mercs 3D are good enough to make the consoles the best RE console. |

| I think it just depends on preference. I rather play RE0, REmake, DSC and UC than RE5 (even though it is awesome), DA, the outbreaks and Survivor 2. |

| The Wii is capable of playing 8 RE games in total. Aside from two of them, they are main series games.
The Wii is an RE machine in my books. RE5 is friggin' awesome though, and is the only major RE-ness that the Wii is missing out on. |

I'm talking out of ignorance here, can you play PS2 games with a fully backwards compatible PS3 ? |

I think some versions can while others can't. I know mine can't.  |

I was just about to say PS3. You can play the most RE games on it making it the best "RE console". |
