| He's literally the worst thing to ever be put into a video game, and I never realized that until now. There's literally no strategy involved when fighting him. None. Dodging his attacks is useless since he'll inevitably hit you later and there's nothing you can do about it. Absolutely nothing. No matter what you try or do, it doesn't matter. If you don't have healing items when fighting him, you will lose. No strategy. I'm not talking about his last form. I'm talking about the second time you fight him in the clock tower. If you have no healing items, restart the game. There's nothing that can be done. He will cheaply kill you every single time. It doesn't even matter how much grenade launcher ammo you have. You will lose. Maybe if the dodging moves that Jill made weren't randomly generated numbers it would be possible, but since there's literally no way to actually execute them at will, it eliminates any possibility of ever dodging his attacks for long. So, if you happen to not have any healing items or magnum ammo at that point, the only thing you can do is restart the game. Luckily I had one the first time playing through. Now that I don't, however, it means I've wasted my time playing this game again. RE3 is the worst Resident Evil only because of this. It's unfair. There should still be a way, but there isn't, because the game cheated me and decided to make a little slip up cost me the entire play through. EDIT: In fact, RE3 is the worst game of all time and you would be wrong if you disagree. EDIT2: So any tips? EDIT3: Guess this should be moved . . . EDIT4: Wait, can I just run away? |

Start another game and follow my tips to end up with more health items and ammo than you can ever use in one game.
*Always avoid Nemesis in optional encounters. Aside from the clock tower courtyard battle and the last two battles with him, the only times he corners you, he can be dealt with or avoided by environmental means such as pushing him off the top floor of the clock tower or jumping off the dead factory bridge. *Stash first aid sprays unless you absolutely need to use one. *Don't combine multiple green herbs. Stash them and only combine them with red herbs (numerous of which can be found on the way to and in the RPD station). This stretches out your supply. Trust me. *Save shotgun shells for enemies like Drain Deimos, Brain Suckers, Web Spinners, and Hunters. Zombies and zombie dogs (when they can't be avoided) are easily dealt with with the pistol. Save grenades, magnum cartridges, and mine thrower rounds for Nemesis.
Follow those tips and you should have plenty of heath items and ammo throughout the game. I always do. |

| he's easy to kill even on hard mode with a handgun, when your at the RPD for example, the live selection comes up choose 'fight with the monster' nemesis will try to run up to you and hit you but you:
so you see his arm with all the belt buckles on?
ALWAYS run torwards that arm beacuse that is his weak arm
when you think you made a good distance away from him automaticcly aim your gun at him and start shooting
when he gets close to you do the same thing, run past his weak arm with all the belt buckles
ive seriousy beaten RE3 a COUNTLESS number of times trust me i know |

| Same is with the tyrant fight in the plane in CVX. A lot of people had to restart the whole game. I beat him with a knife . |

| Nemesis is awesome. I've played games that are way more unfair (like SFIV or Ninja Gaiden). _________________ ~The Weapon of Mass Distraction~ COMMUNITY:Resident Evil Forums Chat Group: [link]Resident Evil Forums Facebook: [link]Come check my Let's Plays: [link]Gaming forum I'm moderating: [link] |

| He's easy enough to fight. But OP is right about one thing... Nemesis is a douche. Want to kill him easily? Two words: Freeze Rounds. |

| I have already skipped that optional battle, but I did indeed want to beat him someday. Thanks for all the tips! I'm definitely trying out the freeze round thing as well. However, there must be a secret to being able to dodge at will whenever you want. |

The secret of dodging is to hold R2 and tap X just as an attack is about to make contact with you. It won't work if you are firing a weapon. You must be in the Ready Position (Holding R2). It is easier with the Handgun and Assault Rifle on Three-Shot-Burst. It can be done with the Grenade Launcher, too. Also, Nemesis is a lefty. Use that to your advantage. Namely, run past Nemesis' right hand. He won't be able to attack you. Unless he uses a punch combo, which he punches you with his Left hand, and, if dodged, will follow up with his Right hand.
For the record, Jill will sidestep, duck and roll away from incoming attacks.
Nemesis drops a tonne of cool stuff on Hard Mode. Like;
Outside the RPD: Handgun Parts A Inside the RPD *ROCKET*: Handgun Parts B Inside the Restaurant/News Office: First Aid Box (DON'T LET CARLOS DIE IF YOU DECIDE TO FIGHT HIM.) At the burning road *ROCKET*: Shotgun Parts A At the Town Hall Y Shaped Crossroads: Shotgun Parts B On the clock tower roof: First Aid Box 2 (PROTIP: On the Live Selection, select; Use the cord. Nemesis will be knocked out, and you get the F. Aid Box. Future Nemesis encounters will reward you with an Assault Rifle. |

So on the GC, would I press A when holding R?
Thanks for the tip by the way. I'll try to stay on his right. Does it still apply to his later forms?
Still though, Nemesis is one of the cheapest things to ever be in a video game. Gravedigger, too. Just awful. |

Play through SFIV arcade mode. I want to know if Nemesis' cheapness is anything compared to that._________________ ~The Weapon of Mass Distraction~ COMMUNITY:Resident Evil Forums Chat Group: [link]Resident Evil Forums Facebook: [link]Come check my Let's Plays: [link]Gaming forum I'm moderating: [link] |

I don't think anything is as cheap as a CPU fighter in a CAPCOM fighting game. |
True, although Mizuchi in NeoGeo Battle Coliseum is as unfair if not even more. They gave you some handicaps if you kept losing though, which was nice.
SFIV is a breeze. Until you get to the boss. He will combo you to death even on the easiest settings._________________ ~The Weapon of Mass Distraction~ COMMUNITY:Resident Evil Forums Chat Group: [link]Resident Evil Forums Facebook: [link]Come check my Let's Plays: [link]Gaming forum I'm moderating: [link] |

| If Nemesis wasn't in RE3, it would be one of my least favorite RE games and now it's one of my favorites so Nemesis doesn't suck. |

I've beaten Nemesis at every point it's encountered in the game numerous times and I've never gotten an M4 from it. |

Once I figure out how to properly fight him, I'll like him more.
Although I still think he's a cool villain, it's just such a pain to fight him since he really wasn't designed with the classic RE gameplay in mind. Every other RE boss or enemy in every single RE game is made so that not being able to move and shoot at the same time wasn't much of a big deal. But with Nemesis, not being able to move and shoot is obnoxious, and makes fighting him just downright annoying.
At least for me. And of course, for now. Once I get better at fighting him my opinion will most likely change. I'm just venting is all. |
