PostSubject: The most OCD reason for a lucky number...   Sat Aug 13, 2011 10:48 pm

This is a pretty weird and pointless thread but I felt like doing this.

My lucky number is 5. The reason for this: 5 in "digital" numbers (as seen on alarm clocks etc) is 2 backwards. 5 plus 2 equals 7, which is the most common "lucky number" used by people. It's even used in most slot machines as the jackpot. Why 5 instead of 2? I like the multiplication table of 5, meaning numbers 5, 10, 15, 20 and so on. It just feels neat.

My unlucky number is 34. It just... seems to follow me around in unconventional places. Gives me the creeps. It's also one short of 35 which irks me.

That's all for tonight Very Happy Just to make this at least somewhat interesting, what are yours?

My lucky number is 9, because I'm born on 9 - 19 - 1990. That's a lot of 9s.

34? 3 plus 4 equals 7. There are two numbers in 34. 7 minus 2 equals 5. Your lucky number.

But...3 plus 4 equals 7. 34 is one short of 35. 7 minus 1 equals 6.

The difference between 3 and 4 is also one. Add them together to get 7 and subtract that 1 and you get 6.

And finally, the sum of the digital 5 which makes the backward 2 is 7. 7 times 52 is 364. In this sequence we obtain the numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. The only number missing is 1. If the first number in the sequence is missing...the last must be taken out as well. This leaves us with 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Add these up to get 20. Now take the 4 and 5 out of the sequence because 20 divided by 5 equals 4. We are left with 2, 3, and 6. We take the 3 and multiply it by the 4 we just got to get 12. We are left with 2 and 6. Lo and behold, if we take the 12 we just got and divide it by the remaining 2...we have our last remaining number...6.

The bold numbers reveal your true number. The number of the beast. 666.
