| I'm getting a PS3 soon, and I want to buy some old ps1 games (used) and play them on my PS3, because I don't have a ps1 anymore. My question is: is that possible? |

Do you need a PS1 memory card to play PS1 games on a PS3? I know you need one to play PS1 games on a PS2. |

| I have an 80GB fat PS3 and it can play both PS1 and PS2 discs if that helps. My buddy has the 120GB slim PS3 and it can't play PS2 games. |

I have a phat 80GB PS3, but it can't play PS2 games. Ah well. At least I can play RE3&2, so it's all good. |
