| No offence but all true Resident Evil fans will be more excited for Damnation. Possible accurance of BILLY! 8D I am interested in seeing the new live action movie just to see how Anderson screws the series up this time. The actress playing Ada looks good through, definately unsure about Leon and Barry. I just hope Damnation isn't all about Leon, he seems to be the star of many resident evil games/movies, yeah he is awesome. We get it. What about Carlos(nobody really cares) Barry or ARK! I would loooove to see Ark return with his witty dialogue 8D |

You wanna know something? I hated Degeneration. It was full of crap, and anything new brought up was quickly dismissed and the entire thing was basically pointless. The cure for the T-virus you say? Nope, they were all destroyed. What's this? A new company? WilPharma? Nope, they were bought out by Tricell. They weren't even mentioned in RE5, so in the end, who really cares? It does nothing to progress the story at all other than "Shit happened." Leon was out of character, he gave a character an entire lecture on where to shoot zombies instead of just saying "Shoot them in the head." The music was terrible, I really don't want to see any more Angela, and everyone's shoulders are more broad than Nemesis himself. Oh and have you noticed some of the character model's hands? They're stiff and are in one position the entire time. When a zombie gets up, same hand position, when a bystander pounds on a glass door, same hand position, you think they would have done a better job in animation, but everyone seems so stiff except for when Leon takes off his jacket. Have you noticed Leon? The way he stands? His back is straight like he doesn't care about anything, he's totally unaware of his surroundings. In RE4 he was always crouched over and looking around. Even the way he stands is out of character.
I tried to watch the movie again just last week and couldn't get passed an hour without being totally disgusted and almost feeling embarrassed, like if my parents came in the room and saw me watching porn.
I only hope that Damnation fixes the multitude of problems I had with the first one since I'm banking on the fact that this will inevitable make some ties with RE6. Unless of course the producers of the film feel too shy again and make another movie with no real point or direction. |

To be honest I don't care if it has any point or ties to the main series. I just want it to be fun with the series' characters being themselves doing stuff within the actual RE universe. I still liked the original live action movie even if it didn't have any ties to the series. I really wish they had done it an actual spinoff instead of that "Alice > everyone else" crap._________________ ~The Weapon of Mass Distraction~ COMMUNITY:Resident Evil Forums Chat Group: [link]Resident Evil Forums Facebook: [link]Come check my Let's Plays: [link]Gaming forum I'm moderating: [link] |

I suppose you have valid points, but no matter what I still won't like any of the live action films. I think Alice is the only reason why I can't stand any of them. |

I personally liked things about Alice. Pre-Apocolypse ending. Like before she was making people bleed through monitors and that shit with the TK like in Extinction, I could do without that. Otherwise all through the first 2 I did like her._________________ -Vae Victus-Suffering To The Conquered-"The ultimate lifeform...Tyrant", Albert Wesker, REmakeConsumer Recreation Services |

| I can't wait for either! I love both stories in different ways lol But, I guess I'm more excited for Damnation because it's a part of the game series and it can't be beat! |

Don't speak too soon. Degeneration really wasn't that great, and while we can hope this one is better, I got a feeling..._________________ -Vae Victus-Suffering To The Conquered-"The ultimate lifeform...Tyrant", Albert Wesker, REmakeConsumer Recreation Services |

I personally loved it with the except of Angela, and Leon's total personality change from RE4 to D. |

That's enough to warrant it not being so great.
But I mean inferior to even the first live action RE film. Not that there's anything wrong with the first Anderson film, as you know I luv that one, but just pointing out that while I think the story for the games is way better, even with the first film being part of that inferior story, I still find it way better for many reasons.
The music, visuals, etc.
I mean it's just a better movie. And a darn good RE movie too. Degeneration had some really awesome things going for it. Leon, Claire, T-virus, G-virus, Mercier and Court voicing their respective characters, and some cool visuals.
The music is something I thought was lacking. And just kind of a lame story....sort of. I mean here's something, that scene where Curtis is taking on that like army-squadron, with that generic guitar music in the background. I don't know, I guess I was just excited to finally see Leon and Claire team up again. It drew me into it. there is always some kind of flaw in a movie lol |

Well, offense taken. I'm a true RE fan, yet I'm equally excited about both. Enjoying the live action films doesn't in any way mean I'm less of a fan than the next person on this site. |

Well you know my stance on the films and movies.
I'm curious though, not that I really think this question is really truly capable of being answered more than one way, but which do you prefer, RE movies or RE games?_________________ -Vae Victus-Suffering To The Conquered-"The ultimate lifeform...Tyrant", Albert Wesker, REmakeConsumer Recreation Services |

With the way I'm feeling toward RE as a franchise right now (extremely disenfranchised), neither are particularly attractive. |
