| I'm praying to God that they go out with some dignity intact and end the series before it gets too far out of control... Or at least give us one more title that goes back to the "roots" of Survival Horror. I think the "remainstreaming" of zombies is partially to blame. It all started in the 60's with NOTLD and carried well into the 70's with Dawn of the Dead but by the 80's zombies had become more of a parody than anything. With the exception of the 1990 remake of NOTLD and Resident Evil, the zombie had lost much of it's iconic image. I am afraid that is exactly where we are heading again...
Then again... maybe 10 years from now, it will have had all gone full circle again and we will get a great RE title. |

I hope that is true,
I mean I am excited to see what ORC is like but I wouldnt like RE follow the style that ORC is set to be.
But it is nice for a non cannon game and will be a new and fresh idea.
I feel it will be like a looser metal gear solid without stealth and with zombies |

True but with the gaming industry flocking towards the action genre/fps im afraid capcom are in the action genre for the long term. I hope im wrong. |
