I guess it makes sense, but I don't understand.
When you say "reboot", do you mean them taking RE events that have happened and, reinventing them?
I guess when I've read that there will be a reboot, I assumed they would drop all of the characters we have nowadays, if not just will small cameos, and referrences, in favor of a totally new cast.
Not sure though.

| In my mind, a reboot is when they take a series and completely start over, using the same cast and mostly the same story and just reimagine it. Right, the definition, at least as I understand it, in regards to movies, as "rebooting" has become like a fad, is definately reimagining things.
The Batman movies, pretty much every horror film from the past decade, Superman, etc, all do that.
The impression I got was different, from how it was used when talking about how RE will change.
I hope they don't do that though. Not that RE4 was that drastic of a change....
I just think they are going to turn it into a shooter or something. Just sever the ties with RE's classic stuff.
Obviously they gave the boot to typewriters and they are slowly getting rid of RE's control scheme, although there is a good option in RE5.(speaking of, which one did you play with in RE5?)

I also don't like subtitles...but they are always on default. | I keep them on in my first playthough usually. Just to get every single bit of the story. In RE5 in the boat right before the Excella fight, the subtitle misspells Wesker's name lol. It says Weaker.
