Has anyone else thought about what marvin said in RE2??
the phrase 'but no one believed them.'

was it really possible that after returning to the city with only less than the half of all the S.T.A.R.S. members, no one would still believe chris and jill's explanation of what really happened in the arklay mansion incident??

and wasn't the files in the RE1 game a real evidence of what was gong on with umbrella??

Anyone else has something to think about this??
maybe an idea of why no one believed them??

or maybe what dumb excuse capcom would say??

The city was almost completely corrupt so it was pretty easy to feed false information to the media. Chief Brian Irons was with Umbrella so he was there making sure no one believed the STARS and dispanded the team. Besides, a story about monsters and zombies... I bet there would be too many people to think that it was just too outlandish to believe.

yeah that would have been true that chief irons was giving false stories to the media, but the cops would have doubt that those zombies and monsters would have been true... i mean, more than half of the S.T.A.R.S. disappeared, and chief irons couldn't have told the cops that they all have been to a company vacation or whatever..

As corrupt as the city and the department was they propably thought it was best just to keep their mouths shut. I mean the few that believed them. The chief could've just told that most of the STARS died in the explosion caused by what ever.

Yeah Umbrella had nearly unlimited resources. It would be extremely easy for them to cover it up. It took Albert Wesker bringing a shit ton of evidence to court for the Pharmaceutical Consortium to finally disbar Umbrella. And the surviving STARS members didn't have any evidence. It was all lost in the explosion.
