This is an idea i've had for a while

THE REF ANNUAL PARTY THREAD

I was thinking, we should have a party, hosted in reno or something, where all of our members could go, meet eachother, and have a good time. I've invited ghostleader (spartan198) as well as members from his site (bigdaddy V is gone again, ftw)

So i was thinking we could pitch together and rent-

A nice hotel room or few
A couple nice hotel rooms, with room service. if we all pitch in, and share rooms (i'm not meaning cramped in one room, i meant like 2-3 poeple to a room) then it can be an enjoyable experience.

Bring little tv's, laptops, desktops, and your favorite game systems
Show off your games, and how good you are at em!

Smalltalk, some drinks, and a generally good time
Hang out wherever, don't get split up xD, share a beer or a bottle of jack (bring and share dammit), and generally have fun. if you lack the capacity for fun without conflict, just don't go.

Nekro's list of rulesness

1.Don't purposely start arguments, this meant to be a good time.
2. no drugs. go smoke your weed somewhere else, i'd rather not be busted for possession...
3.Don't bring more than one person! we don't want a huge mess of people. you can bring a significant other, however.
4.The obvious ones, no theft, no physical altercations. if you plan on doing this, just don't go.

I think, that any breaking of these rules on the trip should result in a forum ban or a warning or something.

Too bad many of our best members live over seas.

I would love to but I just havent the money to make it to the states. The flight alone is too demanding.

I just might be able to, during a summer vacation. Me and my uncle just sold some forest so I should be getting a moderate amount of money soon, on top of what I already have and what I'm getting from work.

Well.... maybe we should raise money! all of us pitch in, in a huge pot. The pot is equally divided among things, like plane tickets and hotel rooms. maybe do things in fundraisers. i mean like a site fundraiser.

Then you bring your own money for alcohol and such (or bring your own alcohol and such)

EDIT: any ideas on what we could do for this? i mean, i doubt we can do anything super-fancy, but theres plenty of things we could do

EDIT2: well, maybe we could have a US a EURO one, where all our EURO members go to one, and US to another. and then save up money to have an international one every few years or something.

Nearly all my favorite members are Euro. I'd be going there. I say everyone just come crash at my place. As soon as I get my own place...

I would like a teensy bit of Mojito and fizzy lemonade to mix with it. Would I be allowed to come?? :/
