Well playing thru re4 on the cube havent played it in years and wow it seems I hardly ever have handgun ammo but yet somehow I always have over 100 shells for the shotgun. Hell I find magnum ammo more then I do find handgun ammo. So far im getting bored of the game cause im always using my shotgun unless I have to fight a boss. I remember a few years ago I never really experienced such a shortcoming with ammo.

So far im at the start of 5-4 and yet im shotgunning thru the damn level -_- goddammit I want to use my pistol. Seems shitty that I never have ammo for it considering I kill all enemies via headshot or knife and so far my shooting accuracy overall is 86 but thats forgivable considering my gamer rust.

Any one else have probs with this? my loadout is Semi Rifle, Blacktail, Striker, Broken Butterfly

No. I kept my original pistol all the way through in my first playthrough of it and never ran out of ammo. The only other gun I used was the original shotty then upgraded to riotgun. Never had ammo problems there either.

Never had ammo issues either in RE4.

In the RE1 Remake I did though.

Only problem I have with the shotgun is that i always have ammo and always over 100 rounds. BTW im playing professional mode and handgun ammo drops are sometimes the only way to find some ammo while on the other hand shotgun ammo litters the ground from the corpses i make.

I never had a problem with handgun ammo except when I started chapter 4 then it seemed to dissapear. Funny thing is I also have never encountered this before in all my playthroughs and I at least beat re4 a half dozen times.

RE1 Remake on the other hand hell yea fuckin crimson heads ate all my ammo. Who knew they were gonna come back from death

Again.

On the actual subject, I think the game's just bugging or something because I have never encountered that problem either. I usually had more than enough pistol ammo. Only if I had had that much shotgun shells, they were really sparse for me.

I also kept my original pistol.

I was able to build up ammo for the shotgun, but once I started using it, the ammo really dissappeared.

What? all of you seem to have it easy during my first playthrough of RE4 I had to start a new game because I had ZERO ammo and healing items Ashley and I were super low health and I was in a part surrounded by enemies...

I always buy either the Red9 or Black Tail.

But like everyone else has said, this must be a glitch.

Yeah, I think that people forget how much of an issue health was in RE4, most especially at the beginning of the game.

They probably just recal their most recent playthrough, where they've used enough yellow herbs to complete their health meter, and don't have to worry about it as much. I know I have a stock supply of First Aid Sprays in my inventory, but that was certainly not my first run through.

I really never had a problem on my first playthrough. Like I said, I kept my original guns the whole way through.

Are you saying health wasn't an issue at all?

An issue yes, but not a big one. The game just wasn't hard lol.

It had it's moments, nothing where I got stuck and had no idea where to go, maybe one spot back in the village.

Otherwise it was pretty straight forward, thought it the difficult moments where mainly where enemies overwhelmed you, certain boss fights.

But health, and even ammo weren't too plentiful.

Definitely. Like the time when the small cage falls on you and a Garrador jumps into the cage with you! Not only that, but the Ganado's (or whatever the castle guys were. Zealots?) also in the cage as well as outside it, shooting arrows at you. And the only way to get out is too make noise, which happens to be the thing that draws the Garrador towards you.
