Ok, so I finally saw it today. I'm not sure why I said "finally" because that implies anticipatory feelings of excitement, which I did not hold about this movie at any time during my life. First, I will sum up the entire movie in a few short sentences:



For real. That's actually a good summary. During the beginning, I was actually on the bad guy's side, just because they were against Alice. When I realized this, I also realized that it wasn't because Alice has nothing to do with the games...but because they really do a bad job of getting you to attach to any character. Ever. She annoyed the hell out of me. Well...the real one isn't so bad but the clones annoyed me big time. I'm still not sure why the clones would have these annoying traits when the real one doesn't. Maybe it's a design flaw? Umbrella has been known for them. Anyway, the beginning annoyed me the most. There is a scene where two Alice clones are firing guns in slow motion and one has this cheesy ass grin on her face like she's a junior high girl firing a gun for the first time and she's worried about making a bad impression on Joe Jock. The other is just standing really weird which is something strange I noticed about everyone in the movie. I think it has to do more with the camera work than it does with "bad standing abilities." Another gripe is the really baaaaaaad acrobatics. They look like a mix between the Matrix (good) and Jet Li's "The Legend" (lol look it up and watch it. Now.) They just look fake and about three quarters of the movie is in slow motion so it makes it that much more obvious that the acrobatics are bad. Watch the very first flip Alice (clone) does and you will see what I mean. This brings me to Wesker. It seems that he was trying to be every single Albert Wesker voice actor all at once! He switched dialects so often it had me wondering if they actually had about 30 people voicing his character throughout the film. I know Wesker sounds different in nearly every game Shawn, but please just pick one of them and stick with it. This is a usual gripe of mine, but I must throw it in: Why are there more badass girls in this film than badass guys? It's not even close to being even. I counted only 2 not totally badass girls, and at least 3 completely non-badass guys. And the two girls I counted were still pretty feisty. The realism in these movies needs some tweaking as well. I realize it is about a zombie apocalypse and all that jazz, but come on.

How about the scene in which Alice is turned human again yet survives that huge plane crash with nary a scratch? I thought she was just turned human!!! And then she jumps like 10 feet in the air and does a Lui Kang kick to the executioner's face? Ah!!!! And of course the totally realistic scene of landing a plane on a building and then having one person be heavy enough to bring the tail down so it doesn't fall off said building.

At least the telekinesis/pyrokinesis is gone in this one. Though there is a brief moments when Alice appears to be an earthbender (see Avatar: The Last Airbender). This makes no sense at all. How can a VIRUS cause things like that to happen? It's a physical entity. A virus cannot be like the force! That's just an unacceptable act of unrealism, which is not a word but should be. You may have noticed by now that I am not focusing on why this is a bad RE movie, but why it is a bad movie in general. It just is. Does it have some good action and special effects? Yes. But that's IT. If you think the story redeems it, you need to read more or something. One of the worst thing about this movie is how bad of a job it does at making you feel for the characters. I felt nothing for any character at all. AT ALL. It is all an emotionless mess! It's not worth your time and it certainly is not worth my time. I only watched it so I could realistically review it. I know it gave that dumb bastard Anderson money, but I don't care. True RE fans know he isn't worth shit so that makes me feel ok about donating to his retardation fund. My rating: One star (with only four dull points and a frowny face) out of 800.

P.S. Apparently the T-virus and Las Plagas are the same thing in the films. Jill sucked too.

Compared to Extinction this really wasn't that bad. Atleast they figured out the super powers were a little over the top and quickly got rid of them as well as the clones from the last movie. Yeah they threw in stuff from the games but tweaked it. I really didn't think it was that "ZOMG THIS IS STUPID" to have the plagas virus be a variation of the T-Virus. It wouldn't have meshed well to have zombies in the last movies and then introduce something completely different (I feel the same way with the games and dont like where the series is headed either). I just don't get some peoples' complaints either....The movies dont follow the games and people cry "THEY CHANGED IT FROM THE GAMES!!!!1111!!" but then when something from the game is used those same people cry again and say "THEY JUST STOLE THE FROM THE GAMES THIS IS STUPID" You have to pick one or the other. For an action movie/popcorn flickit wasn't that awful people like the games just bash the films because it's the "in" thing to do.

In a trailer, i saw samurai swords or something. So i go nowhere near this movie. Or forever21

The only reason I care to see it is because I've seen the rest in the theaters, why stop now? I've done far worse for 10 bucks.
