Anyway the question was 'is thier a straightforward and easy way to finish RE1 Remake to unlock the samuri edge gun?'

Jamesy are you feeling well today? you dont seem to be the full shilling. Oh and you can keep track of your posts by clicking 'VIEW YOUR POSTS' which is on the top right hand side of the screen at the main menu. Also you can go to the bottom of the screen and click on todays active topics as well. lol Jamesy you should know this by know you have been in here a year.

Well Jamesy, as you love the REmake so, you could play through it at least once, to know exactly what needs to be done, I did that, and I was able to scrape by and unlock the Samurai Edge, although I still need to get the Rocket Launcher...

Likewise, I did this for RE2 as well, trying to unlock 4th Survivor and the Extreme Battle Mode.

I have never seen the rocket launcher being used in RE Remake even when I look on youtube.

I think to unlock the rocket launcher you have to beat the game in like 3 hours or something stupid like that.

That is exactly what it is...and I need to go through and do that myself.

It's tough, I think my best time was around 4 hours, if not just a bit less...I'm going to have to figure out a way to shed off some time.

The problem is you can't unlock it by playing on easy mode u have to play on normal or hard mode.

Spke how do you unlock very hard mode in the RE1 remake?

Play the game on Normal. You start to unlock all kinds of game modes, including Real Survival, in which none of the item boxes are linked. Invisible enemy mode is where...well that is obvious. And another mode in which Forest chases you around with a vest of grenades.

You can also unlock a letter from Shinji Mikami. Smile

There's Easy, Normal and Hard, maybe Real Survival is Very Hard.

Hay spike I did try to speed past the game but gave up straight away becuse you feel under pressure to complete and there many obstacles which affect such as forgetting things and monster attackng you.
