this topic is for your own opinion on what zombie movie is the best ever made...my pick goes to Quarantine...I just like the style of the movie and the overall atmopshere of the film plus the fact that it is very tense throughout...so I leave it to you guys what is the best?

i love night of the living dead remake. what quarantine like gen because i was thinking about buying it

its filmed the way the Blair Witch Project was if you ever seen that movie...its about a reporter and her cameraman who get to come along on a call for a fire at an apartment building but it turns out to be nothing like a fire and they end up quarantined in the building with the others...

the first 15 minutes or so are a bit slow but I would recommend it to anyone

A zombie movie i made on my cell with a few friends.

Its actually ok, our cameraman kept the phone still, everyone used real emotion, The zombies looked like pale people,
They wore grey/white contacts over their eyes, sure, we used watered down ketchup for blood, but it looks realistic.
When we had the first zombie tear the main character's brothers throat open, it knocked him over, and bit down on a watered down ketchup filled water balloon, while hunched over the throat. the scream was cut short and he started gurgling. its great!

In my opinion.... The 1990 Tom Savini Remake of Night of the Living Dead. In fact that is my favorite movie PERIOD!!!!

Best zombie movie? I've got three that I can't choose from: Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead (2004) and 28 Days Later.
I also liked Rec (the "original" version of Quarantine).

Evil Dead is also a notable masterpiece, although I didn't like it as much. Ash is a great character nonetheless.

Well, what was then name of that movie with the cell phone/internet zombies? was it pulse? Something like that scary as frack.

The remake of Dawn was a great movie. A bunch of my buddies told me that Quarantine was not so great but I went a bought it anyway.... It is a good movie, i thoroughly enjoyed it. I have grown to love the horror movies shot like documentaries, they just have more of that "this is really happening" vibe to them.

On a bit of a side note: Has anyone seen the Romero's "Survival of the Dead" i would appreciate anyones critique on it.

ETA: I love the Evil Dead trilogy, Bruce Campbell is just amazing in those (and other) movies. They went through a noticable progression.... Horror in "Evil Dead", Comedic Horror in "Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn", to almost a flat out comedy by "Army of Darkness"

Another notable one that is almost a comedic gorefest is Peter Jackson's "Dead Alive" definitely worth seeing if you are into those kinds of movies.

I didn't have a favourite zombie movie until I saw Fido... has anyone else seen it? It didn't make very much money but it's an excellent little film... I'm not sure if I'd call it a zombie movie persay, it's more of a political satire which uses zombies to represent certain oppressed groups in history. I loved it though, awesome movie.
