| It is longer than LiN, but it can be aggravating at times due to Majini shooting Rockets at you. Besides that it is pretty fun, and you do feel overwhelmed by enemies at times. And seems things are still randomized like LiN, as such i found Shotgun ammo and no Shotgun... Weird. Overall, pick it up, especially for the addition of Josh and Rebecca for Mercenaries Reunion. Josh's melee moves friggin' own by the way. |

| Well, I just finished playing it, Spike and I co-oped it. It was pretty cool in my opinion, not much for the horror thing.. It's kinda like Capcom made LiN for the die-hard RE fans who wanted to go back to the roots, and DE for the newcomer action gamers who wanted blood and carnage. All in all, I thought it was pretty cool. The stupid RPG turrets were infuriating, but almost all of the ending stuff was cool. Like Mercenaries extreme. You get like no weapons, and you have to take down a seemingly infinite amount of majini, along with two chainsaw majini and two J.J.'s.. Plus an Agitator and two Big Man Majini. There's a trophy for killing 3 Agitators, so I can only assume that as long as you kill all the enemies in each wave they'll keep coming indefinitely. I only had a few complaints, like the fact that I found four ammo types for the two guns Jill and Josh had. And the fact that even though some of those cutscenes (like the last two) were amazing, it's impossible to view them without playing the whole damn thing over again. Other than that, definitely worth five and a half bucks to me. |

| And there were 2 Executioner Majini's as well, with the damn the RPG Turrets shooting at you it kept pissing me off. I didn't take the handgun you could get for Jill though. Just kept the Magnum, Machine Gun and Rifle. (Though I didn't use as much besides sniping the Turret Handlers).
In the cutscenes though? Especially towards the end? They made the Majini look kinda scary, though I mean that realistically though. Mainly overtly vicious.
But added tip, save your magnum ammo for the Chainsaw, Executioner, and Gatling Gunner Majini's. |

You found a magnum? Lucky. I found the sniper and kept the Skorpion and 92FS we started with, but never found any other guns. It was ticking me off, actually. |

LIN is shorter? I don't know about that, they are both pretty short...
Josh was actually really good in Mercs, Rebecca was(considering you used the Striker, and the one melee that kills(but the rest of hers fail every time)).
Desperate Times had 4 or 5 good cutscenes, but otherwise the gameplay was nothing great, in fact when you start you are looking at a large exspansive area full of turrets and enemies. It actually reminded me of that part in RE4's Separate Ways, the large room full of huge turrets, really annoying...
Overall though, all of the extras that are DLC are definately worth it, worth $50 for Gold, individually DE wasn't really worth it, but that combined with some of the Mercs characters and LIN, definately a smart buy. Smartest buy since Orange Box._________________ -Vae Victus-Suffering To The Conquered-"The ultimate lifeform...Tyrant", Albert Wesker, REmakeConsumer Recreation Services |

Yeah, my friend had downloaded them, so I got to play DE for the first time, as soon as it was released.
I kind of dislike playing on PS3, because of the minor control differences between the Ps3 & 360 versions...but I will get Gold myself on 360 on the 9th.
I will post if there is anything new, exclusive, in that one._________________ -Vae Victus-Suffering To The Conquered-"The ultimate lifeform...Tyrant", Albert Wesker, REmakeConsumer Recreation Services |

my only dissapointment with desperate escape was the amout of time it took to pass it. i looked on the resi wiki and it said it had 3 chapters and some people said it took well over an hour to complete. i was daft enough to believe it.but apart from that i liked DE.especailly playing with a partner because they wont get hit by those rockets all the time |

| It was a lot of fun in my opinion, a nice little action side mission. But nothing really Resident Evil like.
No real horror, just a lot of scary enemies. |

It was something new, but that's about it...
Still cool, and I will play it primarily for the cutscenes, but otherwise it was average._________________ -Vae Victus-Suffering To The Conquered-"The ultimate lifeform...Tyrant", Albert Wesker, REmakeConsumer Recreation Services |

Yeah, I'm hoping that Gold Edition's cutscene browser includes those from LiN and Desperate Escape. |

As am I, as I am buying it for sure, but considering the Archives REmake & RE0, I doubt we will see much in the extras department, other than what we know will be there..._________________ -Vae Victus-Suffering To The Conquered-"The ultimate lifeform...Tyrant", Albert Wesker, REmakeConsumer Recreation Services |

| And I do have a question for any other XBOX 360 player who plans to get RE: 5 Gold, as I know that it won't include the extras on a disc but will include a code with which to download the LiN, DE, and Costume Packs, so I'd like to know. do you need XBOX Live to get that, or just internet access on your 360? |
