| Oh yeah I remember that debate that happened almost a year ago now lol.
Anyway RE5 was criticised for not being able to run and shoot and lets face it the control system is rather dated compared to newer action games. |

Except that Resident Evil isn't an action game, never was.
It's unfair to categorize it with games like Halo, Call of Duty, or Borderlands.
It's in its own little genre. |

| I think survival horror is as close as you can get to what it is, but it's entirely story based, not action based.
It's a puzzle solving survival horror game. |

It really isn't. Sure, they've made it a bit more action oriented as the times progress, but they've kept the thrill of the original games.
It isn't totally action, there's still backtracking and puzzles, you can't aim and move, and there's still a lot of strategy involved in killing an enemy rather than just emptying your ammo into him. |

It isn't totally action, in fact. I think if we all took a look back into RE's previous games, everything leading up to RE4, we will see that they aren't that different...it's okay guys, RE4 & RE5 aren't leppers, we can play with them. _________________ -Vae Victus-Suffering To The Conquered-"The ultimate lifeform...Tyrant", Albert Wesker, REmakeConsumer Recreation Services |

| LiN was a lot more like RE5 could've been and probably should have been.
But in some ways it's better that they gave it to us like this, as a teaser for what could happen with future games. |
