I don't recall being startled at any point but I do remember a few parts that made the hair on my neck and arms stand up...
Now there was one guy during one part who got startled so bad he ripped the loudest fart that just echoed in the theater, swear to god, I was in tears laughing so hard. After the movie on the way out one woman was talking about it making her so scared she started crying.

Personally, I liked the movie, it was well made and had a very creepy and realistic atmosphere, especially considering they made it for like under 20 thousand bucks.

Omg Bob that's hilarious! I'd piss myself from laughing if that happened in a theater I was in lol.

I still can't tell that story without cracking up and its been a minute since it happened. I spent the last part of the movie in tears laughing... I got some weird looks for sure.

I agree, the last part when theyre downstairs and the girl kills her husband was quite fun. Esp. upstairs when she is sitting by bed and shaking or w/e. And than the cops came. Bang, bang
