PostSubject: A scary movie/game?   Tue Nov 03, 2009 1:55 am

I know halloween just went by, but here's a question for all of you! (you see I really like to ask about stuff in here Razz )

So, what's the scariest movie/game (or both) you have ever seen? And why, may I ask? All kinds of top-lists are good too. I'd also like to know what's your favorite horror movie/game/series.

The scariest movie I have seen is Blairwitch Project. There's just so much stuff that creeps me out, especially when I'm living in the middle of nowhere. The sequel wasn't as good though...
Another great scary movie is the Grudge. Holy shit was I scared while watching it in the middle of the night. The sequel is good, but not as scary. And no, I haven't seen the original movies.
For a scary movie I'd recommend the Eye, too. The original in this case.
My favorite horror movie series is Friday the 13th. Jason Voorhees is just awesome! I just bought Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash graphic novel and it's awesome too Very Happy

For games, the scariest one I have played was Silent Hill. That's some stuff that will give you nightmares. Actually the whole series is quite creepy but as the series has progressed it has become less scarying... They all make it on my list, though.
I also found Resident Evil 3 to be scary as a kid, but it's hard to tell now since I haven't seen the whole game in a long long time... In RE games, I'd still have to vote for Dead Aim. When you get in the right mood and really into the game in a dark room it really gets you jump.

I might add something, if it slipped my mind now Very Happy
But that's enough of me, what's your pick?

movie: none, i'm still waiting for one "scary" enough, some say "paranormal activity" is but mergh.

game: Silent Hill 2 (one of the worst nights ever, I couldnt sleep and decided to play all night, since I was alone at home, so I had my home theather at max vol. and the lights were off. At first I loved it, the music playing...the speakers behind me would make it more real, as though a nurse was behind me or something... but then at the PH boss fight, you know the music that plays its called "betrayal" plus the noise made by the gigant knifes. I would pause the game every now and then to turn around and check I was still alone :3 )

SH2 was the best in the series at getting you on edge although the third one had its moments too
