ok so i know i had a thread a bit ago about finding the old games . butt today ii got an email about an add i had on craigslist looking for them. this guy says he has re 2 and silent hill (which i wanted too)

well he wants 65 for re 2 and 50 for silent hill!!!! is it me or is that just crazy?

That's just crazy. Tell him the economy disagrees with him.

i know its nuts i mean maybe if the were never opened and played but dam.

and its not like i am expecting the best for free . i am willing to pay up to 25 for really nice ones

Depends on the condition and whether he sees you as a collector and avid fan.....someone just offered me £3,000 for my life size zombie....there's a market out there for collectors of the series but he could be after a quick buck...you should ask him what makes his copies so special because on ebay it seelf for around a tenner and less...

he has original case and manuals , but with the silent hill he said it was scratched really bad that was why it was 15 less the resident evil 2 .

and say they we never opened or used then yeah i would consider them would offer less then he is askin but would pay a litttle more then i planned

these prices are a bit steep...i wouldn't pay the price but this is about the same price you will pay on Ebay for the nice kept ones as well

Exactly...RE2 always seems to sell for a steep price because it is one of the best in the series to the collectors and had alot of merchandise with it....if it's in it's original packaging and hasn't been played with of course.....however things like RE1 Director's Cut sells for an exceptionally steep price as it is now considered as rare. Silent Hill however sounds a bit of a fishy deal...purely because it'smarket to collectors is not as great as that of other games...it's very hard to find merchandise etc for Silent Hill so he shouldn't really be offering a fair whack for it.....i mean come on i have the original and i'd post it to ya for free.....i don't love the series that much...if you want it let me know.

the funnny thing was is he said those prices reflected less then what he payed after he played them

I'm in the UK......only just noticed your in New York lol......if your systems able to play PAL versions i'll still send ya it if ya want it....it's just collecting dust for me lol.

PSX prices are quite high these days. Last time I went to the Gameshop, I saw a PSX RE3 (used, I think) for over 50 euro.

you can go on ebay and get way cheaper
