Does somebody know if RE4 is compatible with Windows 7? I can't get it to run on my new notebook and I don't know if it's because of this or something else.

And ubisoft says it is compatible (link). there must be something else wrong. but what the heck could it be??

My XP crashed and had to reboot with a windows 7 beta build. then I realized thateven with my XP reinstallation CD, it will not allow me to downgrade it as Microsoft will not allow it.

Tried to install cd but none of the cd keys work, which issues compatiability problems, I think?

never mind. i got this to work. i downloaded direct 11 for vista and windows 7 and installed the game with no problems. try that, guys.

I found that guy too. And I did download directx 11, but it does not change anything.
the error i get when i try to launch RE4 is called 0xc0000005.

OH.... does it ask you for a code?

No. It just says the application could not be launched and shows that error code.

So...has anyone found out if it works? I've just upgraded to Windows 7 a few days ago, but I completely spaced the fact that RE4 might not work. Has anyone any luck with it? Is there something specific you need to do in order to install/play it properly?
